Collin Morikawa will be looking to secure his first victory of the
2024 PGA Tour season by clinching the Farmers Insurance Open title.

The American star began his PGA Tour career with 22 consecutive made cuts, second only to Tiger Woods' 25-cut streak.
Morikawa has six PGA Tour wins – including two major championships, the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open Championship, winning both in his debut.

The 2021 European Tour Race to Dubai winner has been a consistent performer in the PGA Tour events finishing in the top seven in his last four tournaments.
This include his triumph at the 2023 Zozo Championship in October and he will now be looking to emerge victorious at this weekend's Farmers Insurance Open.

“It feels so good, I can't even explain it.. I knew I was going to get here at some point," Morikawa said after ending his two-year winless run in the PGA Tour at the 2023 Zozo Championship in Japan.
“It's like getting your first win, your first major. I had to really look back and ask myself what's wrong. What's the reasoning behind finishing second — that versus a win.
"This win means the world. Being in Japan and being half Japanese. A lot has come through over the past week.”

The 26-year-old took a short break from golf after competing in the 2024 Sentry Tournament of Champions where he finished fifth.
As a result, Morikawa is placed 12th on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) ahead of the Farmers Insurance Open and his best overall ranking is second.
