The former University of Illinois student currently sits at No. 197 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) and his highest ranking is 55th.
Why Campbell is one of the favourites
Campbell has proven winning pedigree at the Mexico Open, having outlasted Aldrich Potgieter in a thrilling sudden-death playoff to capture his maiden PGA Tour title here last year.
The 33-year-old's precision short game and comfort on this setup make him a threat to contend once again as he bids to pull off the first successful title defence at the event in over six decades.
