Matchday 9
Aston Villa vs Fulham
Villa Park
Birmingham, England
Saturday, 31 October 2026
Kick-off is at 22:00
Fresh off a morale boosting win over Manchester City, Aston Villa could extend their winning streak to three matches when they face Fulham at home on Sunday.
As it stands, Villa occupies ninth position on the Premier League table with 11 points from eight matches played.
Villa overcame an inconsistent run of results with back-to-back wins in their last two Premier League games, the most recent being a 2-1 victory against Manchester City at home. Yet to find their feet consistently this season, Villa have now recorded three wins and two draws, while three losses negatively impacted their progress during the earlier parts of the campaign.
Fulham will likewise eye their third-straight win in the Premier League next weekend following victories over Hull City and Coventry last time out.
Overall, Fulham took home two wins, two draws and one loss in their last five league fixtures as they sit in 15th position with eight points from eight games.

With Villa boosted in confidence following their win over City, Matty Cash reserved special praise for Unai Emery, whom he describes as a ‘tactical genius’. The Villa defender thus expressed that the former Arsenal coach often finds a way to adapt, particularly against high level opponents.
“He’s just a tactical genius. Especially against City at our place, I think over the last few years, we’ve been really good,” Cash said.
“He’s always got a new plan for something. He’s always coming up with new ideas.
“When you play against top teams, you have to adapt, and today I thought we did that really well.”
