Zambia Women’s Football National Team Head Coach, Bruce Mwape, exudes confidence and assurance ahead of their crucial encounter against Morocco in the final round of the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers. As the anticipation builds for the clash on Friday, Mwape emphasizes the team's readiness and determination to secure a positive outcome.

Addressing the media in a pre-match press briefing convened at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Thursday morning, Mwape conveyed his belief in the preparedness of his squad to confront the challenges posed by the formidable Moroccan side.
"The team is primed and comprises a blend of both local talents and those plying their trade abroad. We acknowledge Morocco's strength, but we have left no stone unturned in our preparations to ensure a favourable result," asserts Mwape.

Despite Morocco's acquisition of a new coach in the form of Jorge Vilda, a former World Cup-winning coach with Spain, Mwape remains unfazed.
"Vilda's pedigree with Spain does not automatically transpose to Morocco. While we respect his background, we have meticulously analysed his tactics. We are fully equipped to confront any strategic approach he may deploy," affirms Mwape confidently.

Reflecting on the team's previous performances, particularly in midfield, Mwape acknowledges areas for improvement. Consequently, he has made strategic adjustments, including the reintroduction of Grace Chanda into the squad following her recovery from illness. Additionally, new faces like Rhoda Chileshe have been enlisted to bolster the midfield. "We have identified the shortcomings from our past encounters and taken proactive measures to address them. With the inclusion of players like Grace Chanda and Rhoda Chileshe, we believe we have rectified the issues," explains Mwape.

As the countdown to the first leg commences, excitement mounts among fans and players alike. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. CAT at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, with anticipation running high for a thrilling contest. Meanwhile, the return leg is slated for April 9th in Morocco, setting the stage for an enthralling conclusion to this Olympic qualifying showdown.
