As the most decorated male Canadian male tennis star of the Open Era, Felix Auger-Aliassime recently mentioned that he is running out of time to claim major honours with the keenly anticipated Wimbledon tournament on the way.

Auger-Aliassime will enter the upcoming tournament as the number fourth ranked player in the world after accumulating 4 440 points so far.

At the age of 25, became the first Canadian male tennis star to reach the US Open semi-final in 2021, while he went to the final four at the showpiece last year.

As a former Wimbledon quarter-finalist, Auger-Aliassime claimed nine career titles, with the most recent being his win at the 2026 Open Occitanie where emerged victorious over Adrian Mannarino to claim the record of having the most single titles as a Canadian in the open era.

Auger-Aliassime also has one doubles title under his belt, where he won the Paris Masters in 2020 alongside partner Hubert Hurkacz as they beat Mate Pavic and Bruno Soares with a score of 6–7, 7–6, [10–2].

At the recent French Open, Auger-Aliassime and Alexander Zverev were the only two top-10 stars to advance to the quarter-finals at the tournament.

However, Auger-Aliassime then took on Flavio Cobolli where he suffered a 4-6 6-4 6-4 6-4 loss to bow out of the competition.

Speaking after Roland Garros, Auger-Aliassime boldly claimed that he is in a tough spot in his career and that he faces a race against the clock to win major trophies.

“I'm in a place right now with my tennis career that it's tough. I'm destroyed today a little bit. It's tough,” Auger-Aliassime said.

“I usually handle losses pretty well, I have to say. My whole career, I was going back to training with optimism and positivity. Now I feel like I'm not the player I want to be, so today is a difficult day.

“As years go by, I think I'm growing more and more impatient. Now you know me better. I'm 26 this year, and I'm not improving the way that I wish, so that's why I'm not feeling great today.”
