Ai Ogura will be confident of building on his recent form by delivering a strong result at the British MotoGP – and a win could even put him top of the championship.

Ogura produced a solid performance at the German MotoGP at Sachsenring on 12 July, securing a podium finish as the runner-up.
The former Honda rider enjoyed competitive weekend that included a strong Sprint result (fourth) keeping him firmly in title contention.

The Japanese Grand Prix motorcycle racer sits second in the 2026 MotoGP Riders’ standings with 194 points.
Ogura trails championship leader Jorge Martín by just 14 points and holds a slender four-point advantage over Marc Márquez in third on 190.

Ogura has finished in the top two in the last three races including winning the Dutch MotoGP and his performance at the German MotoGP has surely boosted his confidence.
