Spurs' hopes of a top four finish took a huge blow as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at Leeds United this past weekend. As a result, the north London club dropped down to seventh and look set to miss out on Uefa Champions League football next season.

Interim manager Ryan Mason is confident that Spurs can finish in the top four next season, but insists the club are focussed on finishing an underwhelming campaign on a positive note.

"It's a big squad. It's a very good squad as well. There's definitely tools to work with for next season and I'm sure the chairman and the football club will have a long hard think about the direction the football club wants to go," Mason said.

"I came into this game [versus Leeds] wanting to win, hoping we could win the game. That didn't happen and it's disappointing.
"Our focus, my focus, has to be on the next game now."

Wolves returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion. The West Midlands club have won three of their last five matches.

When the two teams met at Molineux Stadium earlier this season, the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Tanguy Ndombele opened the scoring within the first minute for Spurs, but Romain Saiss netted a late equaliser to earn the hosts a point.
