Atletico Madrid will face off with FC Barcelona in a
Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on October 02.
The Mattress Makers suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat to Alaves away in their previous league game which was played on September 25.
The defeat ended Atletico's 11-match unbeaten run in this competition having recorded eight victories and three draws.

However, Atletico are still undefeated in their last 10 home matches in La Liga having registered three draws and seven consecutive victories.
"I don't think the defence is to blame for the defeat because the goal came from a set-piece," Atletico manager Diego Simeone said following their shock defeat to Alaves.
"But if there's a weakness at the back, or when defending set-pieces, then it is clear we will have to study that, work on it and try to correct it. We have to keep improving. We had several phases of patient play today and I believe in these players.
"We always say there are bad moments during a season and this may be one of them. "We have a good squad, a balanced squad, and we will analyze what is going wrong and try to find solutions."

Meanwhile, Barcelona proved too strong for Levante as they claimed a 3-0 victory at home in their previous league game which was played on September 26.
The victory extended Barca's unbeaten run to seven matches in this competition having registered three draws and four victories.
Barcelona are also undefeated in their last six away matches in La Liga having recorded three draws and three wins.
The last league meeting between Atletico and Barcelona was on 08 May 2021.
Atletico managed to hold Barcelona to a 0-0 draw in a match which was played at the Nou Camp.
