Oscar Piastri will be determined to reclaim the top spot in the World Drivers' Championship standings by winning the
Brazilian Grand Prix for the first time.

The McLaren driver failed to secure a podium spot at the Mexico City Grand Prix on 26 October, the most recent race on the 2025 Formula One World Championship calendar.
Piastri started on the seventh grid and he passed several cars, which saw him finish fifth, and he earned 10 important points from the event held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
Formula One title ambitions
The 24-year-old finds himself placed second on the World Drivers' Championship standings, having accumulated 356 points.
However, Piastri is one point behind of leader, Lando Norris of McLaren and 35 points clear of third-placed Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing.
Why Piastri could win the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix
The Apine Academy product remains the driver to beat this season as he boasts the most victories (seven) and he has spent the most number of months (seven) at the top of the World Drivers' Championship standings.
However, Piastri has failed to win the last five races and he must start winning races again in order to reclaim the top spot and go on to win his first Formula One World title.
What did he say?
"A difficult race," a disappointed Piastri said after finishing fifth at the 2025 Mexico City Grand Prix.
"It felt like we had very good pace; it was just incredibly difficult to use it with the DRS train and getting stuck in dirty air, which was a shame.
"We did make some progress, and I learned a lot as well. We'll take those positives into Brazil."
