After losing out on the Serie A Scudetto, Napoli will now turn their attention to their nearest mandate of European football, beginning with a tie against Bologna on home soil next Monday.
Second-placed Napoli will head into their next encounter on the back of a 0-0 draw with Como. This result meant Inter Milan became the new kings of Italian football after they opened a 12-point gap with three games left at the top of the pile.
After a run of two wins, two draws and one defeat in their last five, Napoli accumulated 70 points, five points ahead of the last Champions League spot currently occupied by Juventus in fourth.
Bologna on the other hand, are in ninth position after noting 49 points from 35 games as they recorded a 0-0 draw with Cagliari during Matchday 35.
Regarding their overall form, Bologna managed only two wins, two losses and one draw in each of their previous five Serie A games.

In assessing Napoli’s 0-0 stalemate with Como, Antonio Conte took positives from the result as they seek to qualify for the Champions League once more.
"We made another step forward, not just for a Champions League place, but also to try and finish as high up the table as possible.
"The lads did well, we must congratulate them for the performance against a tough opponent."
