PGA Championship for the third time in his illustrious career which began in 2007.
What to know about McIlroy
The Northern Irish superstar is a four-time major champion, winning the 2011 US Open, 2012 PGA Championship, 2014 Open Championship and 2014 PGA Championship.
McIlroy is a former world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking and has spent over 100 weeks in that position during his career.

The man nicknamed Rors took a short break after competing in the 2024 Wergo Fargo Championship where he was crowned champion ahead of Xander Schauffele.
McIlroy is currently placed second on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) behind Scottie Scheffler who is also part of the 2024 PGA Championship field.

Rors has returned to Valhalla Golf Club, the site of his last Major Championship in 2014 when he won by one stroke ahead of runner-up Phil Mickelson.
After an impressive showing at the Wergo Fargo Championship, McIlroy is running full of momentum as he seeks his third Wanamaker Trophy and fifth Major Championship overall.
