Amid a testing spell for Inter Milan currently, the Italian giants will hope to correct their step when they take on Fiorentina in their next Serie A encounter at the Artemio Franchi Stadium on Sunday.
Inter, who currently sit at the summit of the league table, hit a snag in Serie A during the last couple of weeks following their 1-0 loss to second-placed AC Milan on 8 March.
With 68 points from 29 matches, Inter’s winless run continued when they recorded a 1-1 draw with Atalanta at the San Siro last Saturday, while they sit eight points ahead of AC Milan, who suffered a 1-0 loss to Lazio last time out.
Inter recorded three wins, one draw, and one defeat in their last five, signalling one of their most difficult patches of the 2025/26 campaign.
On the same token, Fiorentina battled with consistency issues for much of the campaign and will go into the next game on the back of a 0-0 draw with Parma.
Fiorentina have accumulated just 25 points from 28 matches in 17th spot and are one point away from the relegation zone. Overall, the popular Italian outfit noted two wins, one defeat, and two draws in their previous handful of league games.

According to reports in Serie A media, Inter decided against giving interviews following their draw with Atalanta due to the anger they felt toward match officials amid calls that did not go their way.
Before the match, however, Inter coach Cristian Chivu expressed that his side hopes to remain competitive until the end of the league season.
"Am I worried? My concern doesn’t stem from a lost match, but lies in building the squad and our journey,” Chivu said.
“We’ve always said we want to be competitive right to the end, and nothing has changed.
“We have the same determination."
