Harry Konig has a chance to match Jacques van der Merwe's feat of three wins in a season when the Betway Big Easy Tour Final takes place from 17-19 March.
The Englishman has two Big Easy Tour victories to his name in 2025-26 and is in contention for a Sunshine Tour card which is given to the top-12 players in the Order of Merit.
Konig sits fifth in the OoM standings after accruing 662.84 points from the 11 Big Easy Tour events he's competed in this term, although he missed the Play Off last month.
The 31-year-old hasn't featured since the fifth Big Easy Blu Label Unlimited Invitational in November when he finished T8, six strokes behind winner Joe Sullivan.
Konig's maiden Big Easy Tour win came during the second event of the campaign in May as he carded an 11-under 205 to beat Brandon Gildenhuys, Joe Knox and Sullivan by two strokes.
He came out on top again four months later at Soweto Country Club after finishing one shot ahead of Brandon Pieters and Jaden Deltel.
Konig put himself in the frame with a 70 in the second round which included four birdies and he said: "Solid day today. I played really well yesterday, and I played pretty well again today.
"I missed a few chances, but overall, I'm very happy with my first two days so far. I've struggled here the last couple of years."
