The Pac-Man is not only extraordinary in terms of achievements, he is one of a rare few superstars who hasn’t let fame and fortune go to his head.  The wiry fighter who punched his way out of extreme poverty to become the greatest Asian boxer of all time is a happily married man and father to five children.

Pacquiao is one of the richest sportsmen on the planet.  At 40 years of age he has nothing to prove.  Yet on the 20th July 2019 the Welterweight Champion of the World will bob and weave back into the ring in Nevada to defend his title.

What is really quite remarkable is in-between beating the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosely, Erick Morales and Ricky Hatton - plus 16 other World Champions - Pacquiao found the time and energy to play professional basketball.  
 
In fact, he became the oldest ever rookie to be drafted into the Philippine Basketball Association and by all accounts he acquitted himself really well.

Although Pac-Man officially hung up on the hoops in 2018, basketball still has a stranglehold on the magician from Manilla.  He may not do the slam dunk anymore but you’ll find him courtside as the proud owner of not one but two pro basketball teams.

Despite banking around $40 million a year in his heyday and more than $1,2 billion in total pay-per-view revenue, Manny Pacquiao is a faithful and loving family man.  He and his wife of 19 years - the delightfully named Jinkee Jamora - have five kids together. 
 
They also have a penchant for calling their children ‘interesting’ names like Queen Elizabeth also known as Queenie or Mary Divine Grace who masquerades as Princess or plain old Israel, their son and last born!
