As a player who had his fair share of injury worries in recent years, Isco is expected to play a major role in Spain’s
UEFA Nations League semi-final clash against France at the MHP Arena on Thursday evening.
Spain faced Netherlands during the quarter-final stage of the tournament, a tie that gripped supporters over two exciting legs of football.
While the two nations played to an eventful 2-2 draw in the first-leg at De Kuip on the 20
th March, the second-leg was nothing short of spectacular.
Then, following a 3-3 thriller after regulation time, the reigning European champions managed to see out a dramatic 5-4 win on penalties.
With Isco returning to the Spanish national team for the first time since 2019, the Real Betis ace revealed that his kids are more excited at the prospect of seeing Yamal than himself.
“My younger kids have never seen me play for Spain,” Isco happily explained.
My oldest has, but they’re more excited that I’m going to see Lamine than about me being back with La Roja.”
