The 2024 Spanish Grand Prix is set to take place in Montmeló, a town within the Barcelona metropolitan area, in Catalonia, Spain on 23 June.
What to know about the Spanish Grand Prix
The event is one of the oldest in the world still contested having been established in 1913 and celebrated its centenary in 2013.
The Spanish GP is due to take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya until 2026 and from 2026 until at least 2035 the race will be run at a new circuit near Madrid.

The Canadian Grand Prix which was the ninth round of the 2024 Formula One World Championship was won by Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing on 9 June.
Lando Norris of McLaren finished second, while Mercedes driver George Russell secured a third-place finish at the Canada Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Max Verstappen is sitting at the top of the World Drivers' Championship standings as the talented racing driver looks to regain the Formula One world title.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, Norris and Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz Jr are placed second, third, and fourth respectively as the battle for the world title intensifies.
Favourites
All eyes will be on Verstappen as he looks to successfully defend the Spanish Grand Prix title, but he will face stiff competition from the likes of Leclerc, Sainz Jr, and Norris.
Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, who has won a joint record six Spanish Grand Prix titles, will be determined to become the first driver to win seven races.

"It was challenging out there, just one small millimetre off line and you were in trouble," Russell, who is placed seventh on the World Drivers' Championship standings, said after the 2024 Canadian GP.
"I am disappointed in myself today, I made too many errors and that cost us victory... I made the errors at parts of the circuits where people could overtake me easily, on the straights.
"Everyone went off at some point, but it did not affect them in the same way."
