Jon Rahm will be determined to win the
Memorial Tournament for the second time in his professional career.
What to know about Rahm
This year will mark the Spanish star's fifth start at Muirfield Village Golf Club where in 2020 he joined Patrick Cantlay and Tiger Woods as the only Jack Nicklaus Award winners to claim the Memorial Tournament title.
Nicknamed Rahmbo, Rahm is enjoying a banner season on the PGA Tour with eight top-10 finishes over 11 starts, including four victories, his second major championship title at the Masters Tournament last month counted among them.

Rahmbo decided to take a break from professional golf after the 2023 PGA Championship having finished 50th in the major tournament and he was absent from the recent 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge.
The former Arizona State Sun Devil has slipped down to the second spot on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) in recent weeks with Scottie Scheffler leapfrogging him.

Why Rahm is one of the favourites
Rahm won the Memorial Tournament three years ago and he climbed to the top of the OWGR as he became the second Spaniard after Seve Ballesteros to be number one in the world.
The 28-year-old knows what it takes to win at the Muirfield Village Golf Club and he will be keen to clinch the tournament in order to reclaim the OWGR top spot.

“I’m just hoping to keep adding more to it. It’s been a lot of fun, and hopefully, I can keep riding that wave,” Rahm said after winning the 2023 Masters Tournament.
“It’s the best metaphor I could find in the couple seconds after the question (was asked),” Rahm later explained of his reference to riding the wave on Golf Week.
“I think Arnie said it, ‘The road to success is always under construction.’ It’s not a linear, constant path of improvement. It’s ups and downs.”
