In what has been a turbulent season for the reigning Formula 1 World Champion, Max Verstappen will now set his sights on claiming a podium placing at the upcoming
Belgian Grand Prix.
Safe to say that Red Bull have been surrounded by controversy this season and are battling to keep up with the pace set by McLaren-Mercedes on the Constructors list.
Verstappen has just two wins to his name so far, namely at the Japanese and Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. As a result, the Dutchman has fallen down the pecking order behind Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris and will hope to bank on his experience at Spa, having won the Belgian Grand Prix in both 2022 and 2023 respectively.
Also, the four-time World Champions has been sensationally linked with a move to Mercedes and could already have his sights on next season’s calendar.
While potential change looms for Verstappen, the talented driver made his feelings known regarding the changes in place for the 2026 F1season, which will see all cars drive with new chassis and power unit regulations.
"I’m in the middle. Maybe it'll be good, maybe it'll be bad – we’ll see," Verstappen said.
"I’m very open-minded, honestly. I don’t even think about it too much – I'm just enjoying the moment.
"When I sit in the car next year, we’ll figure it out. I’m not making the rules anyway.
Given Max Verstappen’s form so far, along with his teammates, Red Bull are currently fourth on the Constructor’s list with 172 points to their name.
