Russell Henley will be looking to secure his sixth PGA Tour career victory and first win of the 2026 season by clinching The American Express trophy.
What to know about Henley Russell
The American golfer won the Stadion Classic at UGA on the Nationwide Tour, only the second amateur to win on that tour in 2011 and he represented the U.S. that year at the Walker Cup and Palmer Cup competitions.
Henley turned professional in late 2011 and he went on to become the first PGA Tour rookie to win his debut in 12 years with a record-setting performance at the Sony Open in Hawaii in January 2013.

The 36-year-old was in action in the recent Sony Open in Hawaii, the most recent tournament on the 2026 PGA Tour schedule, and he finished 19th.
Henley is currently placed fifth in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall is third place.

The experienced golfer is the second-highest ranked golfer on the OWGR among those who will compete in this weekend's The American Express after world number one, Scottie Scheffler.
Henley, who won last season's Arnold Palmer Invitational by one stroke over Collin Morikawa, has what it takes to win The American Express and boost his position in the OWGR.
