Boston Celtics will be seeking a seventh win in eight meetings with Denver Nuggets when they lock horns at the TD Garden on the morning of Saturday, January 20.
The Nuggets halted a six-game losing streak to the Celtics with a 123-111 victory in Denver 12 months ago as they went on to clinch a 10th
NBA title last season.
Joe Mazzulla's team have the best record in the NBA this term (31-9) and they lead the Eastern Conference ahead of Milwaukee Bucks (28-12) and Philadelphia 76ers (25-13).
The Atlantic Division outfit have won six of their nine games at the start of 2024 and recorded an eighth straight victory over Toronto Raptors on January 16.
Jrue Holiday scored a season-high 22 points in the 105-96 win against the Raptors, while Jayson Tatum added 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Jaylen Brown sat out the clash with a hyperextended right knee and Mazzulla said: "This year we've shown that, regardless of who's out, there's an affirmation that everyone is going to step up."
The defending champions have also impressed in the New Year, winning five of their seven games to sit third in the Western Conference with a record of 28-13.
Michael Malone's team are pushing Oklahoma City Thunder (2nd) and Minnesota Timberwolves (1st) for the top seed in the playoffs and strengthened their challenge with back-to-back home wins against New Orleans Pelicans and Indiana Pacers.

Nikola Jokic, Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray scored 25 points each in the 117-109 victory over the Pacers on January 14 which saw all five of their starters finish in double figures.
"I think we're in a good spot," Porter said. "We're about what you can expect with a vastly different bench line-up than last year coming off a championship and a short summer.
"Obviously, we'd love to be No. 1 in the west, but we're a couple of games behind it. We're feeling good. Guys are healthy. That's all you can ask for."
