Lewis Hamilton will be determined to end the 2025 season on a positive note by clinching a record-extending sixth

The Ferrari driver failed to claim a podium spot at the Qatar Grand Prix on 30 November, the most recent race on the 2025 Formula One World Championship calendar.
Hamilton started on the 17th grid and passed several cars, which saw him secure the 12th spot, and finished 17th in the sprint event - failing to secure a single point in Qatar.
Formula One ambitions
The former McLaren driver is placed sixth in the World Drivers' Championship standings, having accumulated 152 points and he is out of contention for the Formula One title.
Hamilton is two points above seventh-placed Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes heading into the final race of the season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The seven-time Formula One champion is the undisputed king of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, having won the race a record five times, winning the race in 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2019
Hamilton will be keen to wrap up what has been a disappointing season with a victory at the Yas Marina Circuit, where he has been dominant over the years.
What did he say?
"We made a positive start and gained a few positions in the first stint," Hamilton said after the 2025 Qatar Grand Prix.
"But the Safety Car didn’t play to our advantage and I lost two positions after the double stack. From that point, I found myself in a DRS train, which made progress difficult on a circuit where overtaking is limited.
"The focus in now on Abu Dhabi, and hopefully we can end the season on a stronger note."
