Blades look to cut down Man United

2019/20 Premier League

Round 13

23-25 November 2019

Sheffield United will look to continue their excellent start to the Premier League season when they host Manchester United at Bramall Lane on Sunday 24 November 2019, kick-off at 18:30 CAT.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder

Sheffield have been the surprise package of the Premier League thus far and put in another excellent performance before the international break when they held Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 away from home. The result took the Blades up to fifth place on the table.

“We haven't all hit the highs as early as we'd like to, but we've come late and we're hungry. I think that shows in our performance,” said Sheffield player George Baldock, who scored against Spurs. “We've all got that fight and desire to improve and I think that's shown in these opening 12 games.”

Man United have been wildly inconsistent thus far in 2019/20, though they did put in a strong showing in their last match, defeating Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 at Old Trafford to move into seventh place, one point behind Sheffield.

"I think it was our best performance of the season. How that didn't end up five, six, seven, we don't know, the players don't know," said manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"It was exhilarating, entertaining and great to see that they enjoyed themselves. Since the last international break we have had five wins and we've had a lot of answers to what we're trying to do. If they don't get confidence from this, I don't know what to tell them."
