Former World Number One Luke Donald will hope to draw inspiration from his recent exploits in the Ryder Cup as he prepares to shine at the inaugural
2025 DP World India Championship.
What to know about Luke Donald
At the age of 47, Donald is a regular customer on the PGA and European Tour while he is also the captain of the European Team in the Ryder Cup.
Donald is a five-time PGA Tour winner and also, a seven-time European Tour champion. Part of his long list of accomplishments, the Englishman is one of two Golfers to achieve World Number One status without winning a major with the other being Lee Westwood.
Also, Donald helped guide the European Team to victory at the 2025 Ryder Cup, which was their first win in the United States since 2012.
What did he say
Much like that of Rory McIlroy, Donald is excited at taking to the Delhi Golf Club for the first time in his career.
“It's incredibly exciting to be playing in the inaugural DP World India Championship,” Donald said.
“It's shaping up to be a fantastic field, and I'm sure the event will be a great addition to the Race to Dubai.
“It's always a pleasure to play in a new location, and I'm looking forward to teeing it up in front of the fans in Delhi."
