With a couple of wins already in their favour during the NBA Eastern Conference semi-finals, the New York Knicks could make it three wins on the bounce when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 3 at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday.
Led by Jalen Brunson with 26 points, the New York Knicks secured a tough 108-102 win over the Philadelphia in Game 2 at Madison Square Gardens on Thursday. Along with Brunson’s impressive tally, OG Anunoby contributed 24 points followed by Karl-Anthony Towns who scored 20 as the Knicks claimed a 2-0 lead in the series.
In what was a tougher outing compared to Game 1, where the Knicks claimed a dominant 137-98 win over the 76ers, Tyrese Maxey put up 26, while Kelly Oubre Jr and Paul George scored 19 points respectively.
During the regular season, the Knicks finished third in the Eastern Conference after accumulating 53 wins, while the 76ers placed seventh following 45 victories.

Reflecting on the Knicks' win in Game 2, Brunson urged his team to take it one game at a time as they look to surpass the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
“Most importantly it’s staying poised, staying composed,” Brunson said.
“Just figuring out one just play at a time, one step at a time and not looking too far ahead.”
