World no. 11 Xander Schauffele returns to Cromwell as one of five past winners bidding for a second Travelers Championship title from 18-21 June.
The American won the tournament in 2022 when he carded a 19-under 261 to beat compatriots Zac Blair and Brian Harman by three strokes.
Schauffele now has 10 PGA Tour victories to his name, but it's been eight months since he lasted tasted success at the Baycurrent Classic in October 2025.
The 32-year-old was sidelined with a rib injury for the final two months of 2024 and his game suffered as a result the following year as he missed the Tour Championship for the first time in his career.
Schauffele is feeling more himself again on the golf course in 2026 and has finished in the top 10 five times, already an improvement from last year.
The two-time major winner was in the mix at the US Open after shooting a 66 in the second round, while he hit an astonishing 16 of 18 greens in regulation in the opening round.
But Schauffele had to settle for T12 after scores of 73 and 72 in the final two rounds and he admits patience is every bit as key as hitting good shots.
"It's just a lot of patience and good golf shots, for the most part," he said. "I feel like US Opens, the championship itself just wears you out.
"It's a long way, and you really feel it after. If you can do some work in between, you can get rewarded for it. So that's sort of what I try and do.
"Whatever mountain I decide to be on, I'm trying to climb it and just trying to chip away each and every day."
