Matchday 25

AFC Bournemouth v Aston Villa

Vitality Stadium

Bournemouth, England

Saturday, 7 February 2026

Kick-off is at 17h00

AFC Bournemouth will be hoping to add to Aston Villa's misery in the Premier League when they meet at the Vitality Stadium on 7 February.

Current Form

The Cherries claimed a 2-0 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers on 31 January, as they extended their unbeaten run to four matches in the English top-flight.

Bournemouth are also unbeaten in their last two home matches in the Premier League, having recorded two back-to-back victories at the Vitality Stadium.

Meanwhile, Villa suffered a 1-0 defeat to Brentford FC at home on 1 February as they registered their second defeat in their last three games in the league.

However, the Villans are unbeaten in their last two away matches in the Premier League, having registered one victory and one draw as the visitors.

Team News

AFC Bournemouth currently have Marcus Tavernier, Ben Doak, Justin Kluivert, Tyler Adams, Will Dennis, David Brooks, Julio Soler, and Matai Akinmboni unavailable due to injury, with no players suspended.

Villa, on the other hand, also don't have suspension, but Boubacar Kamara, Youri Tielemans, John McGinn, Ollie Watkins, Ross Barkley, Andres Garcia, and Alysson Edward are currently nursing injuries.

Quotes

“The game keeps going – we tried but it couldn’t happen today," Villa left-back Ian Maatsen said after his side's defeat to Brentford.

"Hopefully, next game, we’ll be back with a better result than this. We need to stay consistent. These things happen in football, we don’t let this affect us.

“We rest, we analyse the game. Everyone knows their job, knows the team. We group back, and hopefully next game, we get the result.”

Head-to-Head

Villa hammered Bournemouth 4-0 in their last meeting in the league, which was in November 2025 at Villa Park.

As a result, the Villans are undefeated in their last six Premier League games against the Cherries, having registered four draws and two victories.
