2025 Alfred Dunhill Championship
DP World Tour, Sunshine Tour
Royal Johannesburg Golf Club
Johannesburg, South Africa
11-14 December 2025
Ockie Strydom is back for the
Alfred Dunhill Championship as a former winner and is looking to become only the second South African to lift the trophy for a second time.
The Johannesburg native won the first of his two DP World Tour titles when he carded an 18-under 270 to beat Adrian Otaegui by two strokes in 2022.
Strydom is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Charl Schwartzel, who is the only four-time winner of the tournament and one of just two players to have successfully defended their crown.
The 40-year-old only managed one top-10 finish last season, a T6 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, and he would end up way down in the Race to Dubai Rankings at 187th.
Strydom returned to Sun City in the opening week of December for the third event of the 2026 DP World Tour schedule, but he failed to shoot under 70 throughout the four days as he finished T59 with a score of 13-over.
He is set for his ninth appearance at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and will be targeting an improvement from his last two showings which saw him finish T118 in 2023 and T55 in 2024.
Last five Alfred Dunhill Championship winners:
2024 - Shaun Norris (RSA)
2023 - Louis Oosthuizen (RSA)
2022 - Ockie Strydom (RSA)
2020 - Christiaan Bezuidenhout (RSA)
2019 - Pablo Larrazabal (ESP)
