Jannik Sinner will be eager to lift his fourth singles Grand Slam trophy by winning Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
What to know about Sinner
The Italian star has won 19 singles titles on the ATP Tour, including three majors at the 2024 and 2025 Australian Opens, the 2024 US Open, as well as the 2024 ATP Finals and four Masters 1000 titles.
Sinner also led Italy to the 2023 and 2024 Davis Cup crowns, having also won the Next Generation ATP Finals and the ATP Newcomer of the Year award in 2019.
News
Sinner has been inactive since he competed in the 2025 Halle Open, where he was eliminated by Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan in the second round on June 19.
The 23-year-old has a career-high ranking of world No. 1 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and it is his current position coming into the 2025 Wimbledon.
Why Sinner could win Wimbledon
The youngster was just unlucky not to win the French Open earlier this month, as he finished as the runner-up behind Carlos Alcaraz following a closely contested final.
Boasting three singles Grand Slam titles, Sinner has what it takes to win Wimbledon and show why he is placed at the top of the ATP standings.
What was said?
"I have to accept what happened. I'm now going to have a few days' rest before Wimbledon, which is going to do me good," Sinner told Sky Italia after losing to Bublik.
"Honestly, a little break is going to do me good. I came here [to Halle], and I gave it my all after the Roland-Garros defeat. It wasn't easy. Despite everything, I'm happy enough.
"I've played two matches before Wimbledon. If there'd been more, it would have been even better. Now I've got to boost myself both mentally and physically, that takes a little time [but for Wimbledon] everything will be fine."
