Ducati rider Johanna Zarco will be eager to maintain his good start to the current term by winning the 2021 Grande Premio MEO de Portugal on April 18.
 
The French star has had a dream start to the current season having finished second in the first two races at the Qatar Grand Prix and Doha Grand Prix.
 
Zarco edged out Francesco Bagnaia and Joan Mir's Suzuki in round one, then overtook his Ducati team-mate, Jorge Martin, at the penultimate corner of round two.

The 2021 Doha Grand Prix was won by Fabio Quartararo and he was followed by Zarco and Martin respectively. 
 
The result saw Zarco replace Maverick Vinales of Yamaha at the top of the Riders' Standings - two races into the current campaign.
 
Vinales is now placed third on the standings, while his teammate Quartararo finds himself in position two on the table.
 
The battle for this season's MotoGP world title will continue this weekend as the Grande Premio MEO de Portugal stages centre stage.

Zarco, 30, who is the most successful French rider in Grand Prix racing with 16 wins, says he still growing and he is looking to enjoying himself at the Algarve International Circuit.
 
"I did not expect to be leading the championship when I came here 35 days ago to start testing and learn the Ducati," Zarco said. 
 
"I still have things to control better, to feel more comfortable and have more options during the race. So if I can still grow up in that way and use the full potential of the Ducati. 
 
"Then I can enjoy myself also at other tracks."
 
Yamaha are placed at the top of Constructors' Championship standings and they are followed by Ducati and Suzuki respectively.
