Zambia will battle with Algeria in the
2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier Group H match on March 25.
Chipolopolo are determined to snap their current three-match winless run having drawn twice and lost to Morocco in their last game in January 2021.
They also suffered a 1-0 defeat to Botswana away in their last Group H match which was played in November 2020.
Therefore, Zambia are placed fourth on the group standings - two points behind second-placed Zimbabwe.
Chipolopolo are seven points behind leaders, Algeria, who have already booked their place in the AFCON finals.
The Southern African giants will be on a revenge mission when they take on Algeria's Desert Foxes at the National Heroes Stadium.
Reigning African champions Algeria thumped 2012 AFCON winners Zambia 5-0 in a Group H match which was played in Blida, Algeria in November 2019.
Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic, the Zambia head coach, remains optimistic that his side can qualify for the AFCON finals ahead of their clashes with Algeria and Zimbabwe.
"I live by the philosophy of 'When it is bad never say die, and when it is good do not fly over the Moon'," Sredojevic said.
"We shall bounce back and have to believe in that before March 2021.
"We have a situation with six points available against Algeria at home and Zimbabwe away to give us the lifeline that could take us to Cameroon."
Zambia are undefeated in their last two home matches having recorded two consecutive wins over Botswana and Malawi.
The last time Zambia hosted Algeria was on 2 September 2017.
Zambia secured a 3-1 victory over Algeria in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier which was played at the National Heroes Stadium.
