Following a morale-boosting win over Real Madrid during matchday four in the Spanish La Liga, Real Betis could note back-to-back wins for the second time this season when they take on Villarreal next Monday.
Betis made amends for their 5-2 loss against Levante during matchday three by recording a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Real Madrid on home soil last Friday.
The win saw Betis end the weekend in fourth position after gathering nine points for the campaign so far. Betis are now in line to record back-to-back wins for the second time after they commenced the season with wins over Real Sociedad and Valencia in their first two encounters last month.
Villarreal, on the other hand, battled to yield positive results in their first four ties and will head into matchday five sitting in 17th position on two points.
Yet to record maximum points this season, Villarreal are now on a two-match losing streak following defeats against Alaves and Deportivo respectively. Prior to their last set of fixtures, Betis noted consecutive stalemates against Racing Santander and Atletico Madrid to kick off their campaign.

In assessing Betis’ win over Madrid, Manuel Pellegrini felt that his side won that match fairly, a stark contrast to Jose Mourinho’s sentiments who felt that Los Blancos were on the end of bad refereeing decisions.
"I do not think there was any impact from the refereeing,” Pellegrini said.
and I do not think there were decisive decisions that affected the result. We won because we took a chance and they did not.”
