The Trackhouse Aprilia rider delivered a sensational third-place finish at the 2026 French MotoGP at Le Mans on 10 May.
Ogura completed an historic all-Aprilia podium and becoming the first Japanese rider to reach the MotoGP rostrum since 2012.

The 25-year-old is placed fifth in the 2026 MotoGP Riders' standings with 67 points after five rounds.
Ogura trails fourth-placed Pedro Acosta by 16 points but has shown consistent top-six potential and strong race pace this season.

Ogura has demonstrated excellent racecraft and late-race speed on the Aprilia RS-GP, particularly in the second half of grands prix.

“What can I say, it’s incredible! The race was tough — I tried to attack from the start," Ogura said after the 2026 French MotoGP.
"But lost a few positions and had to fight my way back up. It wasn’t an easy race, but I had good pace at the end. I’m so happy for my mechanics and my team — we’re going to celebrate!
