Francesco Bagnaia will be hoping to record his second victory of the 2025 MotoGP season by winning the
French MotoGP.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider had a decent outing at the Spanish MotoGP on 27 April, the most recent event on the 2025 MotoGP calendar.
Bagnaia secured a third-place finish after starting on the third grid and he also finished third in the sprint event, which saw him collect a total of 23 points.
MotoGP title ambitions
The 28-year-old is placed third in the 2025 MotoGP Riders' standings, having collected 120 points from five races.
Bagnaia is 19 points behind second-placed Marc Marquez of Ducati and 20 points behind the leader, Alex Marquez of Ducati.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2025 French MotoGP
The two-time MotoGP champion has secured four podium finishes out of the five races in the current season, including a win at the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas.
Having finished third in last year's French MotoGP, Bagnaia will be looking to go two steps further and win this weekend's race, and boost his world title ambitions.
What did he say?
“After the battle with Marc on lap one, I pushed hard to try and catch Fabio (Quartararo), but unfortunately I didn’t have enough to overtake him," Bagnaia said after the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix.
"From then on, I wasn’t able to be as effective as Alex (Márquez) at turns 11 and 12; I couldn’t make the most of them to get closer. In any case, this is a third place that, with Marc’s crash, allowed me to narrow the gap down to the championship lead.
"Today I couldn’t fully exploit the bike’s potential, and therefore I’m not fully happy.”
