The 2025/26 Betway Big Easy Tour will continue to produce top-class golf, with the third event hosted at the venerated Wanderers Golf Club in Johannesburg this week.
The Betway Big Easy Tour serves as the official development pathway for the Sunshine Tour, laying the platform for stars of the future to showcase their abilities and kick-start a career in the upper echelons of the sports.
This 54-hole stroke play event carries a prize fund of R150,000 and offers valuable Order of Merit points to help emerging professionals earn status for the main tour.
Wanderers Golf Club is one of South Africa’s premier venues, a classic parkland layout known for its excellent conditioning, strategic challenges, and rich golfing history.
Recent winners and in-form players – such as Tyrone Ryan (a multiple-time winner this season), Joe Sullivan (Order of Merit leader), Wandre Snyman, Ruben Van Der Berg, and Jacques van der Merwe – will be among those to watch. are expected to feature strongly as the season progresses.
The field typically includes a mix of seasoned Sunshine Tour campaigners, recent Big Easy winners, and promising amateurs looking to make their mark.
Competitors will battle for a share of the R150,000 purse and crucially, strong performances boost a player’s position on the Big Easy Tour Order of Merit.
Furthermore, strong performances also determine opportunities for Sunshine Tour cards and advancement in South African professional golf.
