Lando Norris will be determined to reclaim the top spot in the Formula One World Drivers' Championship standings by winning the British Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver secured a podium spot at the Austrian Grand Prix on June 29, the most recent race on the 2025 Formula One World Championship calendar.
Norris started on the first grid and went on to win the race, achieving his 35th podium and seventh victory in Formula One, while also collecting 25 points.
Formula One title ambitions
The 25-year-old is still placed second in the World Drivers' Championship standings, having accumulated 201 points.
However, Norris is now 15 points behind leader Oscar Piastri of McLaren and 61 points ahead of third-placed Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing.
Why Norris could win the 2025 British Grand Prix
The 2016 Formula Renault NEC winner is brimming with confidence after winning the Austrian Grand Prix, which has boosted his Formula One world title ambitions.
Norris, who has secured podium spots in the last two British Grand Prix, finishing second in 2023 and third in 2024, has what it takes to win this weekend's race.
What did he say?
"I’m very happy with the result, a 1-2 is the perfect finish for us as a team," Norris said after winning the 2025 Austrian Grand Prix.
"Oscar and I had a great battle, which was a lot of fun, and we were able to maximise the pace of the car and the strategy. Thanks to the team for the upgrades and all of their work to get us to a place where the car was able to pull away.
"Now, onto my favourite weekend of the year, Silverstone."
