Francesco Bagnaia will be looking to become the first Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer to win the
Aragon MotoGP title twice.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider endured a disappointing display at the British MotoGP on May 25, the most recent event on the 2025 MotoGP calendar.
Bagnaia was forced to retire after crashing out on lap four, but he finished sixth in the sprint race, which saw him collect four points from the event.
MotoGP title ambitions
The 2018 Moto2 world champion is placed third in the 2025 MotoGP Riders' standings, having collected 124 points from seven races.
Bagnaia is 48 points behind second-placed Alex Marquez of Ducati and 72 points behind the leader, Marc Marquez of Ducati.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2025 Aragon MotoGP
The two-time MotoGP world champion will be returning to the MotorLand Aragón, where he was crowned champion in 2021.
Bagnaia, who finished second in the 2022 Aragon MotoGP, has what it takes to win this weekend's race and record his second victory of the current campaign.
What did he say?
“Marc [Marquez] was hiding the problem that we had all weekend: he did a fantastic job,” Bagnaia said after the British MotoGP.
“But we have to say that it’s the first race after I don’t know how many that a Ducati wasn’t on the podium – without the problem of Fabio [Quartararo].
“It’s something to reflect on and I know perfectly how my team and engineers are working to find a solution because others are improving and we are stuck, or even going worse. So, we need to do a step.”
