Zambia will take on Africa's top-ranked team, Morocco in the
2023 AFCON Group F match at the Laurent Pokou Stadium, San-Pédro on 24 January.
Current Form
Chipolopolo drew 1-1 with Tanzania in a Group F match on 21 January as they extended their winless run to four matches across all competitions.
Zambia are also winless in their last eight matches in the AFCON finals - recording seven draws and one draw in the tournament.
On the other hand, Morocco drew 1-1 with DR Congo on 21 January and they are unbeaten in their last seven games across all competitions.
The Atlas Lions are also undefeated in their last two matches in the AFCON finals having registered one victory and one draw.

Zambia will be without their captain Roderick Kabwe who will serve a one-match suspension for his dismissal against Tanzania.
On the other hand, Moroccan defender Noussair Mazraoui is yet to feature in this tournament, and he remains a doubt coming into the game against Zambia.

“We already know that Morocco is a big team but we are not afraid of them. We will play them and I hope we will put up a good performance. We will have to show character,” said Zambia coach Avram Grant.
“The first thing we need to do is forget about the first matches we had. It is a very difficult tournament both physically and mentally, and each match has its own reality,” said Morocco coach Walid Regragui.

The last meeting between the two teams in the AFCON finals was in the 1998 edition and the two teams played to a 1-1 draw in Burkina Faso.
