The
2024 NBA All-Star Game sees a return of the Western Conference versus Eastern Conference format and will take place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on the morning of Monday, February 19.
West and East last went head to head in 2017 as the NBA decided to move away from the conference-based format before the next six years, which saw a draft system implemented and the two highest-voted players on each side acting as captains.
However, the NBA has brought back the traditional style for 2024, with the Eastern Conference looking to come out on top for the first time since 2014.
Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns), LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers) and Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) were voted as the starters for the West.

Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), Damian Lillard (Milwaukee Bucks), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics) and Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks) will be starting for the East.
Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch earned the right to oversee the Western Conference All-Stars after a 111-90 win over Houston Rockets on February 4, which meant his team had the best record in the West (35-15).
"It hasn't really sunk in yet, it really hasn't," Finch said. "It's an incredible honour, I'm sure it will be an amazing experience and like these guys here, I'm sure those guys won't listen to what I have to say either so it will be just like any other game."

Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers will take charge of the Eastern Conference All-Stars, although he feels it is not a distinction that he earned after going 1-2 since replacing Adrian Griffin, who was sacked last month with a record of 30-13 at the helm of the Central Division franchise.
"That is ridiculously bad. It really is," Rivers said. "Well, Adrian's going to get some money, that's for sure. And a ring.
"It's one of these quirky things. I think there should be a rule somehow that someone else does it other than me."
