South African golfer Daniel Cronje will look to get back in the spotlight when he competes at the Betway Big Easy Blu Label Unlimited Invitational #4, set for the State Mines Country Club from 18 to 20 August 2026.
Form and Order of Merit:
Cronje was last in action at the Betway Big Easy Tour 6 in Krugersdorp, where he shot 67, 74 and 69 (210, -6) across three rounds to finish as runner-up behind Louis Liebenberg (208, -8).
The South African’s showing in Krugersdorp saw him pick up 172.5 points in the Order of Merit, where he is placed sixth with 369.13 points – placed between Christian Kriek (374.82) and Werner Deyzel (358.03).
Why Cronje could challenge:
The South African has had several successes and close shaves this season, underlining his ability as a consistent contender. Perhaps the State Mines course will inspire him to another win on the Betway Big Easy Tour.
About the State Mines Country Club:
State Mines Country Club is one of only four championship golf courses within the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan area and is consistently rated amongst the 100 best courses in the country.
Commissioned in 1909 by the State Mines Gold Mining Company as a nine-hole recreational facility for company employees, it was subsequently upgraded to an eighteen-hole course.
