2026 MotoGP World Championship
Round 4: Estrella Galicia 0,0 Grand Prix of Spain
Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto, Jerez de la Frontera
24-26 April
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Pedro Acosta will target a strong run at the fourth round of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship, the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Grand Prix of Spain, held at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto from 24 to 26 April.
Acosta has been the shining light for KTM thus far in the 2026 season, racking up 60 of the team’s 77 points to sit third in the Riders’ standings. His standout moment was winning the Sprint in the opening round in Thailand, while at the last event at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) he was eighth in the Sprint and claimed third in the full-length race – his second GP podium this year.

The 21-year-old Spaniard has put more experienced teammate Brad Binder in the shade, with KTM boss Pit Beirer explaining why Acosta has outshone the South African so emphatically.
“Pedro has matured incredibly,” Beirer noted. “He knows that we might not always have the best bike. But he’s now accepted that you only finish in the top three of the World Championship if you consistently get the maximum out of it - because nobody has the best bike at every Grand Prix.”

Beirer added, “[Last season] it was either win or nothing - there was no middle ground [for Acosta]. But the [post] season analysis clearly showed that if he had taken advantage of the good fourth, fifth, or sixth-place finishes, where he occasionally crashed because he wanted to win, he would have finished third in the World Championship last year.
“That was his takeaway: ‘I have to take the points, and my races will come – my tracks will come!’”
Acosta has finished in 10th and seventh place in his two Spanish Grands Prix in the premier class, and he will be targeting a podium for both the Sprint and full-length GP races on home soil this coming weekend.
