Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc returns to familiar surroundings when the F1 season enters its European leg with the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, June 7.
The Monegasque grew up on the famed streets of Monte Carlo and made history with his victory on home soil in 2024 to become the first local driver to achieve the feat since Louis Chiron in 1931.
Leclerc started second on the grid in 2025 and eventually finished in P2 after closing right up on race winner Lando Norris due to Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen delaying his second pit stop until 77 when he lost the lead.

The 28-year-old has two podium finishes in 2026 after he secured P3 at the Australian Grand Prix and the Japanese Grand Prix, with his worst result of P8 coming at the Miami Grand Prix.
Leclerc finished a distant fourth at the Canadian Grand Prix, 32.897 seconds behind Verstappen, but he gained ground on Mercedes' George Russell, who retired on lap 30 in Montreal and is just 13 points ahead of him in second place in the Drivers' standings.

He believes the Prancing Horse is getting closer to the Silver Arrows after seeing an unprecedented level of work ethic from the team this season.
"In the first races, we discovered a lot about our car, and then worked in Maranello on important developments. Last year taught us how quickly hierarchies can change," Leclerc told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"This season can go in any direction, and the world championship is still wide open. We need to keep working hard and not lose our enthusiasm, especially within the team.
"I don't think I've ever seen the team so pushed to the limit. There's an aggressive mentality that I really like, in every aspect: the production, the innovation, the risks we've taken.
"The other different aspect I perceive is the calm: we want results, but at the same time, there's a clarity in managing everything that we didn't have a few seasons ago."
