Ivory Coast and Norway will clash in a fascinating 2026 World Cup Round of 32 tie on 30 June, as the Elephants take on a European side powered by Erling Haaland.

Ivory Coast finished second in Group E with seven points in their first-ever progression beyond the group stage after securing a 1-0 win over Ecuador, pushed Germany close in a 2-1 defeat, and secured qualification with a confident 2-0 victory over Curaçao.
Norway, on the other hand, finished second in Group I after a strong campaign, including a 4-1 win over Iraq and a thrilling 3-2 victory over Senegal, before losing 4-1 to France after resting their best players including Haaland.

Ivory Coast have no major reported injuries. Coach Emerse Fae can call upon a talented, young squad featuring Nicolas Pepe, Simon Adingra, Ousmane Diomandé, and Yahia Fofana in goal.
Norway, meanwhile, are also expected to be near full strength with Erling Haaland, leading the line. Martin Odegaard, Oscar Bobb, and a solid defensive unit including Leo Ostigard should feature.

“I think they [Ivory Coast] have a good mix in their midfield three, with a playmaker, a runner and a stabiliser," said Norway head coach Stale Solbakken on facing Ivory Coast.
"They also have two good wingers, a striker that can both keep the ball up and go behind and they have two powerhouses at centre-back. Their team is very good, but we are a good team when we play to our best. So, let’s see in four days.
"We have cancelled out their one extra day to rest (by making changes for the France match) so now we should be on equal terms in terms of physicality, which I see as one of their biggest strengths.”
