2025/26 Premier League
Matchday 18
Arsenal FC v Brighton and Hove Albion
Emirates Stadium
London, England
Saturday, 27 December 2025
Kick-off is at 17h00
Arsenal FC will welcome a struggling Brighton and Hove Albion side in the Premier League encounter at the Emirates Stadium on 27 December.
Current Form
The Gunners claimed a 1-0 win over Everton FC away on 20 December and they are now undefeated in their last two matches in the league.
Arsenal are also undefeated in their last nine home matches in the league, having registered eight wins and one draw at the Emirates Stadium.
Brighton, on the other hand, drew 0-0 with Sunderland AFC at home on 20 December and they are winless in their last four Premier League matches.
The Seagulls lost their last away match, which was against Liverpool FC and the defeat ended their two-match unbeaten run on the road in the league.
Team News
Arsenal players Kai Havertz, Cristhian Mosquera, Max Dowman, Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes are all currently injured, but there are no suspension concerns in the North London giants' camp.
Meanwhile, Brighton have Adam Webster, Solly March and Stefanos Tzimas on their injury list, but they don't have suspension worries for the East Sussex side.
However, the Seagulls will be without Carlos Baleba as the midfielder is on national duty with Cameroon at the 2025 AFCON.
Quotes
"We are frustrated, but we have to understand that Sunderland were a good side today, they played well," Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler said after the draw against Sunderland.
"And it is not a surprise that they are where they are in the table. We have to realise that there are big opportunities in the game. The first half was not great to watch, and in the second half, there were enough chances to win the game.
"Unfortunately, Christmas in Germany on the 24th is quite big, but I have to work here. Overall, during this period, we want to be successful, so we try to keep pushing to get back to winning ways."
Head-to-Head
Arsenal and Brighton drew 1-1 in their last meeting in the league, which was in January 2025 at American Express Stadium.
As a result, the Gunners are undefeated in their last four Premier League games against the Brees, having recorded two wins and two draws.
