As the battle for Serie A survival rages on, Lecce will once again hope to put crucial points on the table when they take on Verona away on Saturday.
Lecce, who will take on Fiorentina on Monday night, occupy 18th place following their 2-0 loss against Bologna on 19 April at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara in Matchday 32.
I Giallorossi will take 27 points from 32 matches into their game against Fiorentina, while a win at the weekend will go long in their way of survival while Cremonese sit in 17th on 28 points.
Lecce’s four match losing streak before the Fiorentina game put a massive dent in their progress during the dying stages of the season, while Verona are likewise facing an up-hill battle in 19th position.
Verona lost each of their last five league games, with the most recent result being a 1-0 defeat against AC Milan this past Sunday. With five games left of the Serie A campaign, Verona are a mammoth 10 points from the safe zone.

Speaking on Lecce’s fight at the tail end of the log, Eusebio Di Francesco expressed that it will be the coaching staff’s duty to instill confidence in his players during the next couple of weeks.
“We need to give the players as much certainty as possible through the work this week,” Di Francesco said.
“Furthermore, we must maintain a sense of pride and strong desires for ourselves, for the team we represent and for our loyal fans
“This desire must fuel our efforts to once again achieve the competitive level we demonstrated in countless previous matches”.
