At the lower end of the Serie A table, Pisa and Lecce will engage in yet another crucial relegation scrap with their tie set to commence at Stadio Romeo Anconetani on Friday.
Pisa will go into their next game sitting in 20th position, having collected only 18 points from 34 ties played so far. Following a 1-0 loss against Parma last time out, Pisa extended their losing streak to five matches. They trail the safe zone by 11 points with four matches to play.
In what could be an uphill battle for both sides, any result other than a victory will see Pisa relegated from top flight football in Italy, while Lecce sit just one point above the relegation zone in 17th position.
Lecce could only manage 29 points from 34 games after their 0-0 stalemate with Verona in their most recent game. They have noted two draws in three defeats in their previous handful of Serie A assignments.

Speaking after Pisa’s defeat against Parma, a dejected Oscar Hiljemark expressed that his side conceded in a 'bad' fashion while mentioning his frustration at the club’s current situation at the foot of the log.
“We had to win the match. I tried to get the players to try and score, but it went badly and we conceded,” Hiljemark said.
“I don't have many words to say right now. The goal we conceded is in a very strange situation; you can't concede like this.
“We'll discuss it with the club if we're mathematically relegated so we can approach the next matches differently. I'm sorry, but I'm also frustrated.”
