Valencia will face off with their city rivals Levante in a
Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio de Mestalla on September 13.
The Bats succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Sevilla in their last league match which was played in July 2020 at the end of the 2019/20 season.
This was Valencia's second defeat in their last three matches, while the other game ended in a win over Espanyol.

However, they are unbeaten in their last two home matches in La Liga having recorded two consecutive victories.
Meanwhile, Levante secured a 1-0 victory over Getafe in their last league encounter which was played in July 2020 as they ended the 2019/20 campaign with a win.

The Frogs are also undefeated in their last two matches in the league having recorded two consecutive victories.
They returned to winning ways on the road in the competition when they defeated Celta Vigo in their last away match.

Jorge De Frutos, the new Levante winger, is looking forward to playing in the Valencia Derby and La Liga in the new campaign.
"We are preparing well for the start of the league," De Frutos, who recently joined Levante from Real Madrid's reserve team, Castilla, said.
"We have another two games left and I think we are going to have a good game in Valencia against our rival and try to get the three points that would be the best way to start La Liga."
The last meeting between Valencia and Levante in a league match was on 12 June 2019.
The two teams played to a 1-1 draw in a match which was played at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.
