As a team riddled with inconsistencies this season, Newcastle will hope to overcome their two-match losing streak when they take on a confident Bournemouth side at St James’ Park on Saturday.
Newcastle currently occupies 14th position on the log, far cry from the lofty positions they held during the last couple of seasons.
The popular English club took home 42 points from 32 matches played this season, suffering a 2-1 away defeat against Crystal Palace on Sunday. As for their form, Newcastle recorded three defeats and two wins in their last five league ties.
Bournemouth on the other hand, will be buzzing following their 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this past Saturday, as the Cherries put a dent in the Gunners’ title ambitions.
Nonetheless, Bournemouth are in 11th place currently with 45 points after 32 games, following a run of one victory and four draws in their last five league ties.

Reflecting on Newcastle’s disappointing loss to Palace, Eddie Howe took responsibility for the result and expressed that he is not privy to his side’s recent spell of results.
"I understand there's anger and frustration," Howe said after the match.
"I'm not blind to anything. I always have to look at myself first.
"I always say that. I'm number one accountable."
