The 2020 Rolex Paris Masters Open is set to take place in Paris, France between 02 and 08 November. 
 
It will be the 49th edition of the tournament, and a Masters 1000 event on the 2020 ATP Tour.
 
Because of its sponsorship, the event was officially known from 2003 to 2016 as BNP Paribas Masters, and from 2017 as the Rolex Paris Masters.

Novak Djokovic is the reigning Paris Masters champion having won the title for an unprecedented fifth time last year.
 
The Serbian tennis icon defeated Denis Shapovalov in the final, 6–3, 6–4 and Djokovic won his matches without dropping a set.

Djokovic will miss this year's tournament, but big names such as Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev will be present. 
 
Last year's men's doubles' titles were won by Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut.
 
The French duo defeated Russia's Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev 6–4, 6–1 in an entertaining final.

Herbert and Mahut recently won their 17th tour-level title as a team, in Cologne, Germany.
 
They defeated top seeds Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo 6-4, 6-4 to win the 2020 bett1HULKS Indoors.
 
Herbet says he enjoys playing with Mahut having won the 2015 US Open, 2016 Wimbledon Championships, 2018 French Open and 2019 Australian Open together.
 
“We started again after six months at Roland Garros and being able to share the court with him here, it’s just nice," Herbert said.
 
"It’s always a pleasure. “Being able to play together, enjoy on court and win a tournament, it’s just amazing.”
