Roma, Sassuolo & Lazio in race for Serie A top-six spot

A clash between Inter Milan and AS Roma at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza will headline matchday 36 of the 2020/21 Italian Serie A season.  
 
This will be the 74th meeting between the two teams across all competitions since 1993 and it will take place on May 12. 
 
Newly crowned champions Inter have the upper hand having recorded 28 wins compared to seventh-placed Roma's 20 victories, while 25 games ended in a draw.
 
The last meeting between the two teams was on 10 January 2021 and the Serie A encounter ended in a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lorenzo Pellegrini, the Roma midfielder, is looking forward to facing Inter following their emphatic 5-0 win over Crotone. 
 
“Now we are focused on two big, exciting games to play in. There’s Inter Milan, and then there is the derby," Pellegrini said.
 
"We want to make sure we finish as high as we can in the table – it’s not where we want to be, but it is where we are right now. We’ll give it everything.”
 
While SS Lazio will be looking to consolidate their place in the top six when they lock horns with Parma at the Stadio Olimpico on May 12. 
 
This will be the 50th competitive meeting between the two teams since 1994 and Lazio have the edge over Parma.

Sixth-placed Lazio have dominated this fixture having registered 26 victories compared to Parma's 12 wins, while 11 matches ended in a draw.
 
Their last meeting in the league was on 10 January 2021 and Lazio overcame Parma 2-0 in an encounter which was played at the Stadio Ennio Tardini. 
 
Lastly, US Sassuolo Calcio, who are placed eighth on the standings, will host Juventus at the MAPEI Stadium on May 12. 
 
The two teams will be meeting for the 16th time across all competitions since 2013 when Sassuolo were promoted to the top-flight league for the first time.
 
Juventus have dominated this fixture - recording 11 wins compared to Sassuolo's one victory, while three games ended in a draw.
 
The last meeting between the two teams in the league was on 10 January 2021 and the game ended in a 3-1 win in favour of Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.
