Roma could make it two wins on the bounce in
Serie A this coming weekend when they host Verona at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
Led by an effort from Loreno Pellegrini, Roma bagged a 1-0 win against Lazio in their most recent league outing and subsequently moved to fourth on the table.
Prior to their win against Lazio, Roma suffered a 1-0 loss to Torino on home soil, which came after back-to-back wins against Bologna and Pisa to start the season.
Speaking on his side’s win against Lazio, Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini lauded his side’s effort despite a boisterous crowd.
"I am very happy with the derby, even if it was so loud towards the end that they couldn't hear me!” Gasperini said.
Verona, who are yet to record maximum points in the league, will go into their next Serie A assignment in 15
th position.
In their first four games played, Verona recorded three draws against Juventus, Cremonese and Udinese. Verona were also on the receiving end of a 4-0 loss to Lazio earlier this season, in a game that took place at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, 31 August.
